Weekly Wellness Journal Assignment
Over the course of Body in Mind you will be making entries into a Wellness Journal. This journal is a record of your journey and personal growth this semester. You must make at least one entry per week. However, you are encouraged to write and reflect more frequently. Your weekly entry will be due at the beginning of each Health period. You will be given 20 minutes each week to work on your journal but you are expected work on it more often as this will be your homework component of the course. Your journal is a major component of the course and is worth 10% of your final mark. You should have a notebook that you bring to class every day to reflect, document successes and failures, set goals as well as record new learning. You will then use this information to write a weekly entry that includes the following:
a) Short and long term goals
b) One media artifact related to course material (quote, picture, video, article)
c) Response(s) to weekly inspiration
d) Nutrition and diet changes
e) Fitness Workouts and Daily activity level
f) Gratitude (something you are thankful for)
g) What you learned
h) Evaluation of your own personal wellness (social, emotional, physical and intellectual)
